Bulk bags of various powders are loaded into an existing process vessel. The bulk bags were lifted by hoist and the operator reaches under the bag to untie the discharge spout. The powder flows freely from the bulk bag into the hopper below.
Refurbishing a Rotary Valve
Rotary Valves are often the most critical part of a powder handing system. These Valves are often in service for many years with little maintenance or upgrades. Young Industries has always offered refurbishing and rebuild services to our complete line of rotary valves.
6″ x 60″ Twin Shaft Mixer
Young Industries Twin Shaft Mixers are designed to thoroughly mix powders on a continuous basis. Our mixers are designed and manufactured to meet the exact requirements of the application. We recently manufactured a Size 6 x 60 Twin Shaft that had some interesting features.
Custom Design Screw Feeders
Requirement:
Customer required a Volumetric Feeder to meter 1 cu. ft. batches of free-flowing powder weighing 130 lbs. per cu. ft. at rate of 180-480 lbs. per hour. Accuracy is needed to feed a complete batch into the process with minimal product retained in the feeder. Due to process concerns, 304S/S construction is preferred on all interior and exterior components. The feeder must also be easily removed from the process when not in use.
12″ X 24″ Rotary Valve
Requirement:
A major producer of powder minerals uses a Belt Conveyor to deliver large quantities of powder minerals to a process vessel. The vessel has a slight positive pressure and there is a need to have a rotary airlock valve at the inlet of the vessel.
